Lexicon of the Living was the result of the weaving of three texts, an excerpt from Naming Nature, Learning the Grammar of Animacy and This Connection of Everyone with Lungs. The anthology mediates our separation and relations by gathering texts that ask “How do we relate the natural world to language— and how does language, in turn, shape how we relate to the world of the living.
